SPECIAL FEATURE: The Origin and Evolution of Life on Earth
Each scientific discipline uses its own language. There are different languages for chemists, biologists, geologists, etc. This language diversity works as long as scientists deal with special-purpose problems. But to solve fundamental multidisciplinary problems, they should to speak a common language not to suffer the same fate as the constructors of the tower of Babel.
Several leading scientists working in different scientific disciplines met in Altai to do their best to understand each other. Could they have selected a better subject for their discussion than the problem of origin and evolution of life on Earth?
