The new century is a bonanza period for surgery: both the surgical techniques and the approach to surgical intervention are being changed. Surgeons have at their disposal the unique equipment that has drastically changed the technology of surgical intervention, making it less traumatic, safer, and, which is important for patients, more “comfortable”.
